Access Now
Access Now is a community partnership initiated by the Richmond Academy of
Medicine in 2008 to improve access to health care for low-income, uninsured
residents of the greater Richmond metropolitan area. The program connects the
care received in a local clinic or health system with donated physician care in a
coordinated referral program. Access Now serves adult patients in need of more
complex care who have their primary care needs met by a safety-net clinic; the
primary care physicians who provide free care; medical practices that provide
medical missions for residents in our community; and children in need of more
complex care and who are not eligible for government assistance.

State and National Medical Initiatives
RAMA also supports the AMA Foundation that provides scholarships and
financial aid for medical and other health care professional students in Virginia.
Additionally, the MSV Foundation is a charitable partnership between the Medical
Society of Virginia (MSV) and the MSV Alliance that acts as a catalyst to improve
health and prevent disease throughout the Commonwealth and promotes
community involvement by physicians, alliance members, and medical students.
